KNWU: Netherlands National Track Team

The KNWU Track Squad has been riding at the very summit of world racing for several years. Koga has been their frame sponsor for more than a decade.

At the 2008 Track World Championships in Manchester only host country Great Britain won more medals. With the new Koga Kimera track bike three World Champion titles were captured: by Teun Mulder (Kilometre), Ellen van Dijk (Scratch) and Marianne Vos (Points Race). Silver went to Wim Stroetinga (Scratch), Teun Mulder (Keirin) and Jenning Huizinga (Solo Pursuit). Peter Schep took Bronze in the Points Race. Theo Bos, not fully on form, took Bronze in the Team Sprint.

Many of these riders were selected for the 2008 Olympic Games, among them the winner of an Olympic silver medal in 2004, Theo Bos, as well as Marianne Vos, reigning three-time World Champion (Road, Cyclocross and Points Race). Marianne Vos brought back a Points Race gold medal at the Olympic Games in Beijing.
