KOGA becomes partner of BEAT Cycling Club

BEAT Cycling Club will join forces with the Dutch bicycle brand KOGA, which is part of the Accell Group, as of next season. KOGA will supply BEAT’s professional cyclists with KOGA bicycles and will also offer a collection of replica models to club members. The KOGA name will adorn the kit of both the road and the track team of the club.

According to Geert Broekhuizen, co-founder of BEAT Cycling Club, the collaboration is based on shared values and vision, such as involving cycling enthusiasts in professional cycling. Broekhuizen said: “It is fantastic that a renowned brand like KOGA is coming on board and will continue to support us to further expand the club. An offer of club bikes for our members was one of the most important criteria during our search for the right partner, and KOGA is a great fit because they can serve a broad target group, from novice cyclists to Olympic medal candidates on the track. We have both expressed the intention to collaborate over the long term so that we can grow together to the highest possible level in the coming years.”

Harald Troost, international brand manager at KOGA, said: “Our ambitions for the future align perfectly with the objectives of BEAT Cycling Club, as they’re active on the road and on the track and have a great constituency of recreational cyclists.”

The BEAT road team, which debuted at the UCI Continental level, will use the KOGA Kimera disc framesets beginning next season. The BEAT track team will switch to the newly developed Project Tokyo 2020 frame for the next track season (2019-2020). This frame was developed to help the Dutch riders win medals at the next Olympic Games.

Track rider Theo Bos is very happy with the partnership. “I’m excited to working with KOGA again,” he said. “I achieved my greatest successes on a KOGA frame at the beginning of my career. I am very much looking forward to being involved in the further development of the best sprint bike, the Project Tokyo 2020 model.”
