Only for trekking bikes
For owners of the low entry bike KOGA E-Nova EVO with a Bosch battery in the luggage carrier (carrier pack).

KOGA has found that some low-entry KOGA E-Nova EVO bikes do not meet the high quality and safety requirements set for them by KOGA. The bikes involved are those produced between May 2021 and November 2022. In exceptional situations, small cracks could develop in the lower tube, possibly causing the frame to break. This could result in riders falling and being injured. We have therefore decided not to take any risk and to add additional reinforcement to the frames in question. The following model is affected.
Finding out whether your bike’s frame needs to be reinforced is easy. You can check the frame number on www.checkjeframenummer.nl/en The sticker with the barcode and frame number can be found on the lower tube, near the motor. The number consists of four letters (starting with KGB) and five digits, as shown in the picture below:

Enter your details on the website. If your frame number is not listed, you do not need to take any action.
If your frame number is on the list, stop using your bike immediately. Contact your dealer, who will check the frame number of your bike in their shop. If your bike’s frame needs additional reinforcement, the dealer will arrange for your bike to be returned to KOGA where a safety bridge will be fitted in the lower frame tube.
If you have any questions, you can call the KOGA dealer. Alternatively, you can call the Consumer Care department on the free phone number +31(0)513 - 788 130 from 9 am to 5 pm, Mondays to Fridays. You can also send an email to support.nl@koga.com.
