Form Function Fun

KOGA F3 stands for Form, Function and Fun and thus for the optimum balance between functionality, design and optimal bike performance. The F3 is much more than just a city bike. Its low weight, solid equipment and fine handling also make it very suitable for long distances. The F3 series consists of 8 different models with belt drive or derailleur gears. Which F3 suits you best? Find out below.

Characteristics

What makes this range unique?
What makes this range unique?

The KOGA F3 knows how to combine design and functionality like never seen before. We put the F3 back on the drawing board, with integration being the keyword. All cables and all lighting are now fully integrated.

The result? A bicycle that is even more beautiful and, above all, offers even more ease of use. The great advantage of the integrated cables and lighting is that they are now much better protected against damage.

We added a steering angle limiter so that the frame cannot be damaged by a tipping handlebar. Beautiful, safe and carefree on the road. Within the F3 series you will always find the bike of your dreams, with the handling characteristics that belong to a KOGA.

Discover even more of your surroundings in your free hours on this lightweight and maintenance-friendly bike. Every detail has been thought of, from the option to mount your smartphone on the handlebars to the KOGA Light Design. F3: Perfection down to the last detail.

Model explanation

Which F3 is right for me?
Which F3 is right for me?

The KOGA F3 is available in several variants, with both belt drive and a derailleur gear. If you prefer a bike that requires little maintenance, choose a model with a hub gear and belt drive (F3 8.0, 6.1, 6.0, 4.0 or 2.0).

The 8.0 is the absolute top model, assembled with state-of-the-art parts that are generally lighter and more durable than those of the other models.

If you like to ride long trips and want to take your bike into the hills, a model with derailleur gears (F3 7.0, 5.0 or 3.0) may be better suited for you. These models have a wide gear range and are light in weight so that you always come up, no matter how steep the climb.

The following also applies to these three models: a higher number is fitted with higher quality and lighter parts.

Last but not least, we present the Supermetro, the smooth urban city bike, equipped with belt drive and with striking paintwork.

Frequently asked question

Do I have to maintain my bike’s drive belt?

It is important to remove any sand, especially from the toothed side of your bike’s drive belt. This can be done with lukewarm water and some detergent if required. Although the belt can also be lubricated with dry silicon spray, it is not necessary.

Do I have a warranty on a KOGA bike I order online?

Only authorised dealers are allowed to sell KOGA bikes on their webshop. This way, the manufacturer’s warranty will also be valid on online orders.

What effect do hub dynamos have on the bike’s performance/rolling resistance?

A hub dynamo always produces rolling resistance when the bike is in motion. However the resistance is so minimal that you don’t notice it when cycling. At constant five kilometres per hour or more, the hub’s resistance will be virtually negligible. When the speed is high enough, the magnets will hardly attract each other at all. This results in the cancelling of any resistance. The main advantage of a hub dynamo is that it can work in conjunction with a light sensor so the lights are switched on automatically. This boosts safety while offering ease of use.

How do I maintain my bike’s chain?

Regular cleaning of your chain is essential. Use a special chain cleaner or lukewarm water and a brush. Your KOGA dealer will also be able to recommend a number of tools.

It is important to lubricate the chain after cleaning. For example, Teflon-based lubricants penetrate the chains really well and do not attract a lot of dirt.

Which dealer has my favourite KOGA model in stock?

KOGA does not monitor dealer stocks. Therefore, please don’t hesitate to contact your local KOGA dealer to check availability.

Is my bike suitable for a child seat?

A lot of bikes are suitable for a child seat, and KOGA recommends fitting them to the frame or handlebar stem. For reasons of safety, the mounting of a child’s seat on an aluminium carrier or handlebars is not recommended. For personal advice and correct fitting, please ask your KOGA dealer or child seat manufacturer.

How is the frame size measured?

The frame size on KOGA bikes is measured from the centre of the bottom bracket to the top of the seat tube. This distance in centimetres is the frame size. Your authorised KOGA dealer can calculate exactly which frame size fits you best.
